Autumn fashion overhaul...

When I got up this morning I was greeted by a crisp chill in the air, which can only mean one thing - Autumn is on it's way! 

With this realisation, comes the excitement that with it brings new fashion into the shops. 

As a child I'd spend hours looking at Mum's new Freemans catalogue at this time of year coveting all the 'winter white' and 'russet' coloured clothes (cream and burnt red to you and me!) picking out entire outfits and spending hundreds of pounds in my head... 

Today, there is not much of a change, except instead of the catalogue, I can happily lose hours online looking through my favourite shops, but because I am a 18-22 depending on the shops, I am limited and until the past season, recent fashion hadn't inspired me much and wasn't necessarily to my taste! 

Then low and behold... All my favourite styles and shapes from the 90s,
began hitting the shops! 

So, inspired by #FashionFridayPlusSize I am on a mission: To turn my wardrobe(s) back into a style haven, whilst on a budget! 

Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing (here and on Instagram) what I am coveting and what I have bought and I would love you to share yours with me too - it doesn't have to be plus size! 

And if anyone can help me find the elusive 'perfect' jean I'd appreciate it!

It's been a few months - life's been hectic travelling to the wilds of East London (or South Essex depending on who you talk to) for work and to be  honest I haven't had the energy or inclination to write.  But it hasn't been all doom, gloom  and traffic jams! What a week!!

Well this week has been a hectic one in our house. With OH off work due to his back accumulating in a trip to out of hours Dr first thing (6am!) yesterday morning and another visit today to A&E and a busy but productive week at work. I simply haven't had time to try any recipes from my Dukan book this week, although I have ear marked a couple for next week including trying the galettes, a chocolate oat bran muffins (woo hoo!), Dukan mayo and Dukan bread! I have discovered a lovely fajita paste that is really nice on chicken and combined with cottage cheese it is so yummy! I had it for dinner tonight and could have eaten it all over again - the only problem being I wanted something sweet after - so I've been naughty and had a glass of weak hi-juice squash which did the trick. So you are probably wondering how I've done... Well some how since yesterday I lost 5lb overnight (I've triple checked and it is accurate) so I am 2lb away from having lost two stone sin

Slimming World, Instagram and my Lent driven green tea addiction...

It's been six weeks since I last posted anything really - as life has taken over! But today I wanted to share what I have been up to with Slimming World. It has been ups and downs - I had my lovely big loss following my SP week and then gained and then lost and then maintained... can you see a pattern! I can't lie, I am gutted with how the past few weeks have been, especially as I am still chasing my first stone award, with so many more to go! But I probably haven't been 100%, I haven't had my head in the right place but I haven't binged on high calorie food either, which has shown in the yo-yoing, I am sure it would have been a lot worse had I not been 80% on plan!  Then in the last week or so, my motivation returned.
